Following twenty years of photographing the world around us, Paul began a new and drastically different series - Second Reality.
Symmetry and balance have always played a major role in Paul’s work. He is now using these elements in a very literal sense to create new visions and meanings from everyday objects and architecture. Drawing on both his own extensive photography archive, as well as more recent pictures shot specifically for use in this series, he extrapolates and alters the images to create new realities that seem oddly familiar whilst also strange and even sinister.
Second Reality divides into two groups of work - This series, MULTIPLIED, consists of contemplative images in a square format. Each image is based on our own familiar world but enhanced to show the beauty and mystery that can be found in the everyday.
